General Tips:

1. Include circuit training in your fitness routine to increase your endurance and burn more fat.

2. Strive to complete total body workouts. Include cardiovascular exercises, upper and lower body strength training, core training and stretching in your fitness regime.

3. Replace your sneakers often to prevent injury. Sneakers should be replaced after every 250 - 500 miles of walking or running.

4. Change your fitness routine every 4-6 weeks to prevent a workout plateau.

5. Measure the intensity of your workouts by checking your heart rate, judging your rate of perceived exertion and/or doing the talk test.

6. During your day, take the stairs instead of the elevator wherever possible.

7. Don’t forget about stretching – it’s just as important for your overall health as cardio and muscle training. Ideally, you should stretch before and after each workout. If you can’t do both, make stretching after your workout a priority.
